Qualifications

Required

•   Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

•        Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably inan exempt capacity

•        Working knowledge of employment law includingADA, EEO, FMLA, workers' compensation, wage and hour, labor law, and benefitscompliance

•        Excellent written and verbal communication, youcan write a formal policy and have a real conversation with an employee who isstruggling

•        Strong organizational skills and the ability tomanage multiple priorities without losing momentum

•        Ability to pass a background check and meet allcontract screening requirements

Preferred

•        Bilingual in English and Spanish, not requiredbut a significant differentiator

•        Familiarity with the AbilityOne program,SourceAmerica, or disability employment frameworks

•        Experience in a government contracting orregulated environment

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the HR Reporting and Responsibilities Timeline.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a confidential, timely, and efficient manner in accordance with established company philosophies, corporate values, and best practices to achieve the overall objectives of the HR Department and organization.
  • Maintain confidentiality, content, accuracy, and punctuality of reports, employee files, and records within the Human Resources Department.
  • Screen, recruit, and interview potential employees, when needed.
  • On-board and train new employees
  • Active participation in developing department goals, objectives, and systems to align with the organizational strategic plan, including morale initiatives.
  • Adhere to all Federal, State, and Local regulations, laws, and guidelines.
  • Effectively conduct and resolve all internal investigations. Assist with external investigations.
  • Oversees and publishes company content on social media websites.
  • Prepare and present various weekly, monthly, and annual statistical reports for the Vice Presidents or President, such as weekly New Hires, EEO-1, Vets-4212, AAP, QER, Reps and Certs, ACA, and Mission Statistics.
  • Assisting in the development of HR forms, policy development and design, preparation, and documentation for unemployment hearings, EEOC complaints, etc.
  • Handle Worker’s Compensation and Unemployment hearings.
  • Designs, edits, and distributes the quarterly newsletter.
  • Maintain HRIS accuracy.
  • Maintain employee medical documentation current.
  • Coordinate events focused on employee recognition.
  • Provides support to 200+ employees via phone calls or emails.
  • May provide or refer employees to crisis intervention and counseling.
  • Assist with payroll processing.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Paid Time Off:

  • Vacation: 
    • Full Time, Salaried Employees receive vacation based on length of service with the company, beginning at three weeks per year.
  • Paid Sick Leave (PSL)
    • ​​​​​​​Employees receive up to 56 hours of Paid Sick Leave (PSL) each calendar year. This leave is front-loaded and made available in full at the beginning of the calendar year. Employees are eligible to use PSL immediately upon hire.
  • ​​​​​​​Holidays
    • ​​​​​​​Employees receive eleven (11) paid Federal Holidays.
    • At the CEO's discretion, additional Holidays may be observed (e.g., Good Friday, Battle of the Flowers)
    • Employees' Birthdays are recognized as a floating Holiday that must be used within 30 days of their birthday.
