Responsibilities
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on IndyCar vehicles, including engines, fuel systems, suspensions, and other mechanical components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on IndyCar vehicles.
• Work closely with engineers and drivers to ensure optimal vehicle performance during races.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safe working procedures.
• Keep accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor and order supplies and materials needed for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and developments in IndyCar mechanics.
• Communicate effectively with other members of the pit crew during races.
• Prepare vehicles for racing events, including pre-race inspections and post-race maintenance.
• Participate in pit stops and other on-track support during races.
• Assist with vehicle setup and adjustments based on track and weather conditions.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and safety standards.
• Train and mentor junior mechanics and crew members.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
