Job Description
As a hiring manager for our sports bar, we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Server to join our team. This individual must have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our team, the Server will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while promoting a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Previous experience in a sports bar setting is preferred, as well as the ability to handle multiple tables and prioritize tasks efficiently. Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the server position at our sports bar would need to have a strong background in customer service and hospitality. They should be personable, outgoing, and able to work well in a fast-paced and energetic environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask are also essential for this job. Experience in a similar setting, such as a bar or restaurant, would be preferred. Knowledge of sports and the ability to engage with customers about games and teams would be a plus. Attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well as part of a team are also important qualities for someone to possess in order to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide menu recommendations and upsell specials
- Enter orders into the point of sale system accurately
- Communicate with kitchen and bartenders to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Serve food and drinks to customers with proper presentation and attention to detail
- Check on customers periodically to ensure satisfaction and address any issues promptly
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, and dining area
- Assist with setting up and cleaning tables and chairs for customers
- Follow all sanitation and safety regulations while handling food and beverages
- Work as a team with other servers and staff to provide excellent customer service
- Be knowledgeable about sports games and events to engage in conversation with customers
- Keep up to date with menu changes, specials, and promotions
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required by management.
