The CDL Driver will play a crucial role in safely and efficiently transporting IndyCar and Motorsports equipment to various race tracks. This position requires a minimum of a Class A Commercial Driver’s License and a strong understanding and passion for the world of IndyCar and motorsports. The ideal candidate will also have an in-depth knowledge of the transportation industry and be familiar with the regulations for transporting race equipment. They will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining the vehicle, planning and routing trips, communicating with team members and race officials, and adhering to all state and federal driving regulations. The CDL Driver must also have excellent communication skills and be able to work well under pressure. Previous experience with loading and unloading race cars and equipment is preferred, as well as a dedication to teamwork and a willingness to travel. Safety is a top priority and the CDL Driver must adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures at all times. Overall, the CDL Driver will be a valuable member of the team, playing a key role in the success of IndyCar races.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the CDL Driver position will possess a strong understanding and passion for the world of IndyCar and motorsports. They should have a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a proven track record of safe and efficient driving. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport IndyCar and Motorsports equipment to various race tracks
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle, checking for any issues or maintenance needs before and after each trip
  • Load and unload equipment onto the vehicle while following proper protocols for securing and organizing
  • Plan and efficiently route trips to ensure timely arrival at each destination
  • Communicate with team members and race officials to coordinate loading and unloading processes
  • Adhere to all state and federal driving regulations and laws
  • Keep accurate records of trip logs, expenses, and any other required documents
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections, including checking tires, brakes, and fluid levels
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the vehicle both inside and out
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, both on and off the road
  • Attend mandatory safety trainings and meetings as required by the company
  • Maintain professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with colleagues, race officials, and other drivers on the road
